Course Summary

Reopening your family child care business after a required closure presents unique challenges, but it also offers an opportunity to rebuild stronger than ever. This Think Small Institute course is designed to help family child care providers assess whether reopening is the right decision and explore the options available in the aftermath of a closure. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the NAEYC Code of Ethics and learn how to apply its principles in decision-making and business practices.

Objectives

In this course, learners will:

  • Adhere and refer to the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) code of ethics for early care and education and models its use in decision-making.
  • Review and regularly update policies.
  • Use effective conflict resolution techniques with families when needed.
Criteria to earn CEUs:
  • To receive a certificate and  CEUs, you must complete all components of this course, including scoring 80% or higher on the review quiz. You can retake the final review quiz and all interactive components as many times as needed.
